Golden Hour Family Session in August at The Edward, Prince Edward County
In early August Gigi and her family travelled to Prince Edward County from Toronto for a short getaway. They chose The Edward PEC for its design aesthetic and because it was large enough to host both her parents and her sister’s family. As things were beginning to open up in Canada we were all breathing a tentative sigh of relief and prioritizing enjoying the freedoms we had. After a day at the beach, we met Gigi and her family at The Edward for a golden hour photo session. We took some time to get to know Gigi, Ed and their beautiful children and then followed them throughout the Airbnb, capturing their little connections. Their four-year-old son warmed up quickly and ended up getting his entire family laughing throughout the session! Oh, how I love when kids open up and show us their little personalities!
Smart Casual Family Session inside The Edward, PEC
Gigi chose two outfit options for the session. We started inside The Edward with the family wearing smart casual, neutral attire. Their outfits were complementary but not matching. Most importantly everyone felt comfortable and confident in their outfit. They were able to interact normally and let their personalities and connections shine through. The Edward PEC is a dream for photo sessions. It is filled with natural light, clean lines and beautifully simple furnishings. This would be the perfect place to get ready for your wedding or elopement, or as a base for your wine country bachelorette.
Golden Hour Outdoor Family Session at The Edward, PEC
As the sun softened Gigi and her family changed into their second outfit option and we transitioned outside to the grounds of The Edward. Gigi and Ed were able to let the kids run around, through the wild flowers and the grass. The kids loved the freedom and we were able to capture them exploring nature and fully immersed in their family experience.
Mini Couple’s Session at The Edward PEC
During family sessions, we love to take a few moments just for mom and dad. Gigi’s parents were able to come out for a few extended family portraits and then took the children inside. We ended the session with just Gigi and Ed, having a few quiet moments with each other. They admitted this isn’t a regular occurrence in their busy lives and they were fully on board to spend a couple of minutes focused on only each other. I am hugely biased, but guys I love these images. I love the way they look at each other, their laughter, the way they fit perfectly together. I know their children are going to cherish these images of their parents for a lifetime.
