Waterstone Estate & Farms Wedding Sneak Peek

This late Spring wedding at Waterstone Estate and Farms in Newmarket, Ontario was full of heirloom jewellery, thrifted and handmade dresses, and wild flowers.

The forecast called for thundershowers all week in Newmarket. We planned accordingly and packed our rain gear. Early Saturday morning we arrived in Newmarket and headed straight for the local specialty coffee shop Red Bulb, which just happened to be the bride’s previous place of work! After a lovely latte we were ready for the day.

Kristi Lauria from @kl.glam crafted Allison’s hair and makeup look to perfection. We absolutely loved watching her work with Allison to get everything just right. Allison found her wedding dress at The Bride’s Project in Toronto, and incorporated heirloom jewellery into her look with her grandmother’s necklace and ring.

After a morning surrounded by her closest family and friends, Allison’s father drove her to Waterstone Estate and Farms for the first look. As we drove up the gravel lane you could feel Allison and her family buzzing with excitement. Allison and Kevin chose to have their first look at the rustic barn on the estate. It was secluded and private, perfect for a quiet moment just the two of them.

After a few funyons and a few quiet moments alone, the wedding party made their way to the barn for some photographs before the ceremony. We absolutely loved this idea! Since the wedding party was ready and photographed early, they had plenty of time to relax and hang out before the ceremony. What a fantastic way to set aside some special time for close friends on a typically busy day.

The ceremony was held on the cobblestone terrace overlooking the estate. We lucked out and had beautiful moody clouds for most of the ceremony with the sun peeking out every once in awhile. The reception was held at Waterstone and the dinner was fantastic. From there it was on to partying - my personal favorites were an incredible rendition of Frozen, and then of course Spice Up Your Life - gosh I love wedding dance parties!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this sneak peek of images from this early June wedding at Waterstone Estates and Farm.
